Synopsis
| Synopsis | In New Caledonia, a bird sobs with high-pitched cries: the fish eagle, mourning those who fell in battle during the anti-colonial uprisings. But the struggle was not in vain. Today, the Kanaks are at the head of a mining industry that they have designed in keeping with their unique worldview, and which is paving the way for the country's independence. The fish eagle can take flight; the land, the memory of the ancestors, has retained its sacred dimension. |
